Permission Categories
Lists the permission categories that a System Administrator can assign to instructors, students, and other users roles.
Manage Training Plans
You can add, edit, or remove a training plan.
Add Group
You can add a group to the organization or any subordinate group and view all groups. Also, allows access to the dashboard.
Add Memberships
You can add or view memberships to the attached group for subscriptions within the organization.
Add Subscriptions
You can add or view subscriptions to an organization.
Create Bookshelves
You can browse and search all the documents in the organization as well as add more documents to be shared with the users in the organization. This also allows users to create ‘Bookshelves' that are the primary aggregate technique for documents and allows you to share the documents with organizations or groups within the organization. You can only share a bookshelf that the user created and delete files that the user uploaded.
Note:
You can only access through the Documents area instead of Administration.
Create Organizations
You can create a subordinate organization to the current organization.
Create Web Meeting Events
You can create web meetings, create survey, modify survey details, and remove survey.
Create Web Meeting Room
Only visible if the user has the permission to create web meeting events. You can create new meeting rooms to use for web meetings. Without this permission, the user is not able to create a web meeting if a room does not already exist.
Customize Group
You can customize the group icon and allows access to the dashboard.
Customize Organization
You can customize organization styling, banner and icons (images, colors, login behavior, domain, and edit custom text). Allows access to the dashboard.
Drop Enrollments for Subscribers
You can discontinue enrollments for subscribers within the organization.
Edit Catalogs
You can edit or remove the course catalogs from an organization. Does not ask the user to confirm removal of catalogs.
Edit Custom Content
You can edit the custom content of a group.
Edit Custom Profile Fields
You can edit the profile fields for the group or organization. This permission is valid only if ‘Customize Organization’ is also included as permission.
Edit Group
You can change a group's name and description. Also, allows access to the dashboard.
Edit Roles
You can add and edit role definitions within an organization.
Edit Sections
You can add, edit, and remove sections, question banks, and tests and surveys.
Edit User Extended Profile
Organization administrators can edit the extended profile fields for their organization.
Edit User Login Credentials
Organization administrators can edit user login credentials for their organization.
Export Catalogs
You can export (copy) catalogs to other organizations.
Grant Roles
You can grant existing roles to other users.
Librarian
Full document permissions are assigned within a group. This includes adding or deleting any bookshelf, folder, or file.
Manage Certificates
You can create, edit, remove, and replace certificates for the organization.
Manage Course Sets
You can create, edit, and remove course sets for an organization.
Manage Tickets
You can create and edit ticket batches for an organization and edit the membership of tickets.
Move Group
You can move the attached group within an organization. Also, allows access to the dashboard.
Remove Group
You can remove the group if it has no children. Also, allows access to the dashboard.
Remove Memberships
You can remove memberships attached to the group this permission is attached to.
Note:
This does not provide a dialog box asking you to confirm the deletion.
Remove Subscriptions
You can remove subscriptions from an organization.
Revoke Roles
You can revoke permissions (in the form of roles) from other users in the organization.
Run Reports
You can save, edit and remove organization reporting filters. Also, you can run reports for all organizations.
Share Custom Content
You can share custom content between groups in an organization.
Update Subscriptions
You can change the billing code, expiration date and enabled state of current subscribers in an organization.
Upload Courseware
You can upload courseware to an organization, or delete it from an organization.
Upload Documents
You can upload documents to a bookshelf or create a folder in a bookshelf and add documents to it. Also, you can delete any documents that the user previously uploaded.
View Users
You can view a list of an organization's users (includes last name, first name, and e-mail address). No details are available without additional permissions.
View User Profile
You can view (but not edit) the profile details of a user in an organization. Must have the View Users permission to enable this permission.
View User Subscriptions
You can view the subscription details of a user in an organization. Must have the View Users permission to enable this permission.
View User Memberships
You can view the membership details of a user in an organization, including the organization's subordinate group memberships.
Note:
Subordinate organizations have their own separate permissions.
You must have the View Users permission to enable this permission.
View Section Enrollments
You can view the section enrollments of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
View Section Enrollments Log
You can view the section enrollments log of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ and ‘View Section Enrollments’ permissions to enable this permission.
Update Section Enrollments
You can update (edit) the section enrollments of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ and ‘View Section Enrollments’ permissions to enable this permission.
Drop Section Enrollments
You can drop the section enrollments of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ and ‘View Section Enrollments permissions’ to enable this permission.
View Training Plan Enrollments
You can the training plan enrollments of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
Update Training Plan Enrollments
You can evaluate transcripts for a student's training plan enrollment. You must have the ‘View Users’ and ‘View Training Plan Enrollments’ permissions to enable this permission.
Drop Training Plan Enrollments
You can drop the training plan enrollments of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ and ‘View Training Plan Enrollments permissions’ to enable this permission.
View User Permissions
You can view the permissions or roles of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
View User Login Credentials
You can view the login credentials of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
Add or Edit Communication
You can add new or edit existing topics to the communication topics of a user in an organization.
Note:
Communication topics are topics that have been created for a customer service case. Topics currently include Activity, General Check-In, Grades, Introduction, and Technical Support.
View User Communication Log
You can view the communication logs of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
Update User Communication Log
You can add new entries to the communication logs of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
View User Documents
You can view the individual bookshelf and documents of a user in an organization. You must have the ‘View Users’ permission to enable this permission.
Dashboard Notes
The dashboard includes the organization's administrators as well as the imported catalogs. With this permission, the user can also see the organization's short name, date created, and URL, and the enrollment activity and subscription history graphs.
View Invoice
You can allow users to create invoices within their organization.
