# Take a Test

Test assignments can be set as graded or ungraded, and timed or untimed assignments. On the test assignment page, you can take the following type of tests:

## **Timed tests**

The timed tests are time bound test. You have to complete the test in the set time frame. An instructor has the privilege to set the test attempts (One, Multiple, or Unlimited). You can view the number of attempts you have attended the test, next to the <mark style="color:blue;">**Take Test**</mark> button or <mark style="color:blue;">**Retake Test**</mark> button.

When you click <mark style="color:blue;">**Take Test**</mark> or <mark style="color:blue;">**Retake Test**</mark> on a test in your classroom, a timer appears in the upper-right corner. For example, when you are attempting a test and when you have less than ten minutes left to complete the test, your timer appears in red. Do not click <mark style="color:blue;">**Submit**</mark> Test until you are ready to submit all of your answers. If you have more than one question to answer on your test, a <mark style="color:blue;">**Skip**</mark> button appears under the question and responses. After you have selected a response, the <mark style="color:blue;">**Skip**</mark> button is displayed as <mark style="color:blue;">**Next**</mark> button.

After you have exited a test without submitting it, you have five minutes to reenter the test before you are locked out and are no longer able to access your test.

## **Untimed tests**

The untimed tests allow you to skip or bookmark questions. It allows you to view the summary and submit the test. It also allows you to quit and re-enter the test at any time.

## **Skip and bookmark questions**

You can skip or bookmark test questions at any time. The <mark style="color:blue;">**Skipped**</mark> button appears in color when you have skipped a question. Click the <mark style="color:blue;">**Skipped**</mark> button when you need to answer a skipped question. You are then able to access the question you have skipped. The button below the question appears as <mark style="color:blue;">**Skip**</mark> until you mark a response. After you click response, the <mark style="color:blue;">**Skip**</mark> button is displayed as <mark style="color:blue;">**Next**</mark> button.

Click the <mark style="color:blue;">**Next**</mark> button at any time to continue on to the next question. You can come back to this question at any time by clicking the <mark style="color:blue;">**Skipped**</mark> button. You can bookmark questions. Bookmarking allows you to answer a question and go back and double check it before you submit your test. If the time expires before you complete your test, you are locked out of your test and are taken back to your classroom view. Ensure enough time to answer each question.

## To take a test

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 1:**</mark> Click <mark style="color:blue;">**My Training**</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">></mark> <mark style="color:blue;">**Enrollments**</mark>.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 2:**</mark> The <mark style="color:blue;">**Enrollments**</mark> page is displayed.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 3:**</mark> In the <mark style="color:blue;">**Title**</mark> column, click the section name that you need to access.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 4:**</mark> The <mark style="color:blue;">**Classroom**</mark> is displayed.

Some of the training plans may have prerequisites. You can access the sections only when prerequisites are fulfilled.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 5:**</mark> In the <mark style="color:blue;">**Assignment**</mark> list, click the test you need to appear.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 6:**</mark> Click <mark style="color:blue;">**Take Test**</mark>.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Step 7:**</mark> Answer the questions and then click <mark style="color:blue;">**Submit**</mark>.

Click <mark style="color:blue;">**Retake Test**</mark> if you have taken the test previously or click <mark style="color:blue;">**Quit**</mark> to stop the test at any time.
